Shelby is a gypsy soul with a gentle heart. She is not judgmental and cares for all of those around. She is a self assured young woman who lives with no issues in her skin. She is a vintage shopper with her own artsy style. Congratulations to Shelby, Hector High School graduating class of 2019.
Looking for inspiration for next year? The wait is over, look at these gorgeous dresses Vogue is showing for Fall of 2019! So what’s new? Think royal, yep like Megan Markle royal. Her dress style is selling off the racks. But it looks like no matter what your style, everything is game. Boho, minimalist, off the shoulder, on the shoulder. Although it wouldn’t be a fashion show if there were not new trends and cropped tops are showing along with elegant pantsuits. Take a look at the site to see if anything inspires you.
The memories created between only the two of you. Captured and etched in your mind forever, like a photograph. I came across this article this morning and after reading it I just knew I had to share it. My husband and I love to travel, we have been to several continents and countries, most recently Peru our new love interest. But we also love Europe and when I saw the words “love” and “France” in the same title, this story immediately grabbed my attention.
If you are the romantic type as I am, you will enjoy it. What I took away from the article is don’t be afraid to get lost, live in the moment, hold hands, travel, take risks.
For now, bonne journée.
Their moment saying their vows to one another.
We are an elopement destination. We love all marriages, intimate elopements and larger beautiful shindigs and anything in between. We can cover it all.
This is a very beautiful bride - Marlene who came to Eureka Springs to marry her love David in an outside ceremony at Grotto Springs. Beautiful!
When I am not on a scheduled shoot, my camera is still with me. We are grandparents who are in love with our grandbabies. They are spread out in various states so when we do see them, guess who has to take photos? You guessed it. These are our Jones’ babies. My daughter and son-in-law live in beautiful Huntsville, AL. These grandkids are world travelers and have been fortunate enough to live abroad. I love that they still love being around us and always look forward to our time together until……wait for it……Ghee-Ghee (aka me) pulls out my camera. The eyes roll, the sighs loud enough for city to hear, but they go for it and I love that they do.
Two people in love join together to become a unit. John Jerra, Ava and Bella, the four of you are the quintessential family starting on an adventure of a lifetime. Here’s to you Hayne’s family!
It is over the hump day! I love to hate Wednesday’s. It does mean closer to the weekend, but then I think, where has my week gone? It excites me that the weekend is almost here and scares me that the week is almost over and I still have a ton of things to do! How do you feel about Wednesday’s?
What have you been up to? We are having a blast with weddings! I wanted to share with you the last three I did this past week. Each so uniquely different which is what makes my job so cool. What does you big day look like?

These two are in perpetual love and with their two beautiful fun loving spirited girls, their family is now complete. I would say these photos are swoon worthy! From getting ready, to first look, the ceremony to a family. Enjoy the sneak peak.
How do I love you mornings? Let me count the ways. The first is – drumroll – you guessed it as it can only be summed up in one word, right? You got it: coffee. Yep, I love, love, love that first cup of the day!
Coffee happens to be my other half and it conveniently goes hand in hand with mornings. You morning people know exactly what I am talking about. I love being the first awake in the quiet still of the dawn with my hot morning brew of java! It is such a calming and hypnotic way to start off my day. It is my time to gather my thoughts and think of how my day will unfold.
What was different about this morning, as my schedule gets extremely busy going into fall, I just wanted to walk our unique town and see what I could find but from a different perspective. Yeah, mornings do this to me, I get crazy notions in my head! It also inspires me to be a better photographer, look at things I have seen a bazillion times and see what new spin I can put on it.
So off with my furry kid (dog) and camera I went. And with no regrets. This morning was a bit foggy with the sun cutting through sky. Much like some of the European towns I have visited. The quiet streets with just a few workers out saying hello, a couple of tourists enjoying the sites before everyone else, a street musician and me with my dog and camera.
I felt alive, motivated and inspired. I wanted to capture whatever caught my fancy. And I did. After 2 1/2 hours of just meandering the winding streets of Eureka, the hidden pathways, the crooked steps, I felt refreshed and ready to go again.
Here are a few of my favs from this morning. I hope you find your perfect time of day and take the time to appreciate and enjoy YOU, you deserve it. Until we meet again…..
Bonne journée mon ami!
This fellow called me wanting to surprise his girlfriend and propose to her at the Christ of the Ozark stature in Eureka Springs, AR. We had a time planned as they were driving in from another town. Then it happened, it started to rain. I thought do I call him? Will he reach out to me? Will his girlfriend see a text if I text him? We were to meet at 7:00 p.m. tonight! The clouds rolled in and it happened, it started pouring. I am running for cover with the my equipment to a pavilion. Then at 6:58 p.m. the clouds clear as they walk our way. Maria, his girlfriend still not knowing why they are there. Amazingly right after she accepted his proposal, a rainbow showed up. A true sign that this was meant to be.
I had the loveliest time photographing this family who was here in Eureka Springs on vacation. It was a family that had all girls, beautiful girls, very kind girls and yes, grown up girls. They wanted to surprise their Mom and Dad with an updated family photo. Each daughter/sister unique and beautiful in their own way. They had their "guys" by their sides as well and together with Mom and Dad, we captured it all and had a little fun along the way.
Perfect is when two people who find each other, complete each other and they shine. This is how I would describe this fun loving, down to earth couple. Two school teachers who have a passion for their young students, each other, their family and the world around them. Congratulations Bekka & Nino, the perfect couple whom together has the universe in your hands.
He proposed, she said yes. They decided forever would do!
Sneak peak from Bekka and Nino's wedding. This image is totally swoon worthy. I am so lucky to do what I do. Capturing two people in love and their unique moments. I am 100% in love with this moment. Nino is the comedian, Bekka the serious one, together they find balance, harmony and love. More to come with these two!
Lexie in Europe before she went off to Whittier College in L.A. We had so many possibilities while there. I love this very urban/Euro look and of course black and white.Read More
I have attended many weddings as a guest, photographer and even in them. I have yet to attend one where is was perfect. Everything ends up being fine, but at that moment, when nerves are heightened and emotions are flying, it seems like a huge deal. Life is throwing lemons at you. What do you do? Make lemonade of course! The point I am getting to is you can only control how you react to a situation. Don't let it consume you in a negative way, turn it around or let it go.
This is especially important in these huge life moments when you are getting married. As a photographer I have found flowers, a garter, wiped tears, fixed hair, cleaned mud off a flower girl with my scarf, etc. At the end of the day, it was all ok. Why? Because I was able to put my counseling hat (a prerequisite to being a photographer) and pretty much preach this. At the end of the day, we laugh and enjoy a glass of lemonade.
Enjoy this montage of short video clips on flower girls gone rogue. You are guaranteed to laugh. https://www.facebook.com/PresentsByHowlers/videos/191656971510602/?from=watch_upsell_cta&video_id=191656971510602
Capturing their uniqueness of the these two beautiful souls in love. One year ago this couple committed their hearts to each other. This weekend they returned to where it all began, Lover's Leap in Eureka Springs. It was an absolute honor Bethany Blair and Royce York to take your one year anniversary photos - and - a rainbow in Eureka to boot! How lucky was that? Here are a few we took this year and last year. Cheers to Mr. & Mrs York while we congratulate them on their one year anniversary!
A few from their wedding day, July 16, 2017.
