Memorial Day

Did you know that Memorial Day was originally known as Decoration Day? ItIt is a federal holiday for honoring and mourning the military personnel who have died in the performance of their military duties. While the exact origin is unknown, it is known to have come from the tradition from the Civil War where graves of fallen soldiers were decorated with flowers.
